From
junction 15 M40
Follow A46 dual carriageway from motorway, at first roundabout
take left turn signed to Stratford town centre. Follow this road
into the town joining the one way system and getting in the right
hand lane. Where the road divides stay right but immediately filter
over to the left towards the town centre. This is the main shopping
street with M&S etc. At the roundabout go straight over keeping
Barclays Bank on the right. At the traffic lights turn left and
join the main road at the T junction bearing left to the roundabout
keeping straight over. This is the B439 to Bidford Upon Avon.
Follow this road out of town for approx 3.5 miles. Look out for
the sign for Welford upon Avon on left and turn after sharp left
hand bend. Follow road through village approx 1 mile and at the
Maypole on the left look for right hand turn signposted to Barton
and Dorsington. Turn right here and follow road out of the village,
up a hill. Turn left at the sign to Dorsington and Braggington,
follow single-track lane, which has a number of sharp bends into
Dorsington village. At the T junction with the large Georgian
House in front of you, turn left, Firs Cottage is the fourth house
on the right hand side.
From junction 9 M5
Follow the A435 towards Evesham for approx 8 miles. At the turning
to Evesham the road continues towards Alcester for another 5 miles
becoming dual carriage way, at the turning to Bidford upon Avon
turn right and follow the B439 to roundabout, take the third exit
going over a single carriageway bridge over the river Avon continue
to left hand turn to Barton, turn here following road through
small village of Barton until you reach the right hand sign to
Dorsington and Pebworth. Turn here and follow road approx 1.5
miles to Dorsington. As you come to the centre of the village
look out for road to the left go past this and Firs Cottage is
the fourth house on the right hand side.
There is
no Bed and Breakfast sign outside (we prefer to know you are coming
so we can have everything ready for you) but there is a sign with
Firs Cottage on the house. Turn into the driveway, there is ample
parking. |
